Today is Monday 13 July 2026
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ
Yesterday was the darkest day of my life I stood before the graves of my own family members and conducted their burial after they were killed in the recent attack on Saturday 11 July 2026 My hands held the Bible but my heart was shattered beyond words I was not only burying members of my family I was burying a part of myself
This attack was not random It was carefully coordinated and planned They knew these were my family members They had already declared that they would continue attacking us until we abandoned our ancestral community and left the land for them They came with hatred leaving behind only blood tears and broken families
Among those we lost was my beloved grandmother She was an elderly woman whose greatest strength was her faith in Jesus Christ She harmed no one She spent her days praying for her children and grandchildren Yet she was brutally murdered and the cruelty shown to her is something I will never forget The memory of her gentle voice and loving prayers will remain with me for the rest of my life
Yesterday I looked into the faces of children who will never again hear the voices of those they loved I embraced relatives whose hearts have been broken beyond words Every grave carried a story Every coffin left behind a family whose lives have changed forever
Sometimes I ask how much more can we endure Yet I remember the words of Scripture The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34 verse 18 Jesus also said Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted Matthew 5 verse 4
Please I beg you wherever you are do not forget us Pray for our community Pray for every grieving family Pray for the children who have become orphans Pray that God will strengthen us because our hearts are weary and our tears have not stopped flowing
May the Lord comfort every broken heart May He protect those who remain May He bring justice for the innocent and may He give us the strength to keep our faith even in the midst of unbearable sorrow
Please remember us in your prayers
